For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.

Outside the Property Line

In an effort to update more often with meaningful content, here’s a great song I’ve been quite literally addicted to for a couple weeks now. The song is “The Perfect Machine” by a band that called themselves For All the Drifters. Ironically. this particular band came out of Greenville, IL quite a few years back when some students there decided to make music together. You can now find a couple of the guys in the band Paper Route, of which has magnificent music. Despite any preconceived notions you might have about indie bands, this song is worth every second of your time.

“The Perfect Machine”

Outside the property line
I’m finally wondering why I gave this all to you

Wide eyes, should I be surprised?
The secrets and lies
I’ve never seen this side of you
Cheat slow, so nobody knows, ’till you finally go
I’ve never seen this side of you
Your ring gives me reason to sing
Did it mean anything?
I probably should’ve left you alone
Who knew your devotion was hardly true

My heart’s a perfect machine
It’s making beautiful beats
They’re hopeless without you

You swore you’d be faithful to me
Held on to rosary beads
You left me, instead

There's only one response so far for this post:

  1. Wow! This song is amazing! Those Paper Route guys are incredibly talented and I didn’t even know about this project.
