What if your heart was made to be broken?

My Soul Won’t Reflect Any Light

Here’s a great song. I know I just posted another one of her songs, but as my girlfriend has so kindly pointed out…  “Thank You” isn’t exactly radio-friendly. This track is much more likely to get you coming back wanting to hear more. I’m really looking forward to Mozella’s new record supportively coming out sometime in the near future. If you like it, check out her new 3-track EP. Just thought I’d share.

“Freezing”

The clouds in the sky have covered up my life
And the day just stays gray ’till it’s night
And the darkness outside is a mirror to my eyes
’Cause my soul won’t reflect any light

Oh, I can’t lie, I’m so lonely
Oh, make it right and just hold me

‘Cause I’m freezing, there’s no way to stay warm
Don’t you need me?
Left me out in the storm
How could you forget me
My sunshine has left me alone
You’re so cold

Freezing, like when rain turns to snow
Don’t you need me
Like an old overcoat
The seasons may change
But the ice still remains in my soul
You’re so cold

The chills down my spine
Are just memories of a time
Now I’m haunted ’cause I thought
You were mine
I just can’t get away
I’ve been frozen in one place
And I am not moving on
Tell me why, I still love you, boy?

Here’s some other new tracks I’ve been enjoying lately…

Here’s an interesting story. The Dandy Warhols recently released the original mixed album (The Dandy Warhols Are Sound) that Capitol Records decided to shelf back in 2003 and instead released a more clean-cut mixed album better known as Welcome to the Monkey House.  Here’s my personal favorite “We Used To Be Friends”:

For some reason I can’t get enough of the 1982 one-hit wonder “Come On Eileen” lately. Don’t judge.
